Hi I just bought a 1978 chevy C30 Fire Truck and the enmergency light is working

The light goes to a switch on the dash and it has 3 leads 12 to one and it turns real slow and pops the breaker
Are there 2 12 power leads that go to the light bar?
So what I am asking of the 3 leads behind the switch one is 12 volts and does the other both go to 12 Power to the light?
